Targeted Exfoliation. Smoother Texture. Professional Guidance.
When breakouts, uneven texture, and lingering post-blemish discoloration are part of your skincare concerns, choosing the right exfoliating serum matters.
Face Reality Mandelic Serum combines mandelic acid and lactic acid, two alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), to exfoliate the skin’s surface, improve the appearance of uneven texture, and promote a smoother, more refined complexion.
The formula also contains niacinamide and sodium hyaluronate to provide skin-conditioning and moisture-supporting benefits.
Available in multiple concentrations, Mandelic Serum allows for a personalized approach based on skin type, tolerance, and skincare goals.
Important: Consultation Recommended Before Purchase
This is a professional-strength active skincare treatment.
At Somatic Massage Therapy & Spa, we strongly recommend consulting Faiza, our Licensed Esthetician, before purchasing or beginning Face Reality Mandelic Serum.
Choosing an exfoliating acid based on strength alone can lead to unnecessary irritation, dryness, or damage to the skin barrier.
Faiza can help assess your skincare concerns, review your current products, and recommend an appropriate concentration and application schedule.
New to mandelic acid? Please consult Faiza before selecting a strength.
Key Benefits
Refines Uneven Skin Texture
Mandelic and lactic acids help loosen and remove surface buildup of dead skin cells, leaving skin feeling smoother and looking more refreshed.
Improves the Appearance of Post-Blemish Marks
Consistent, appropriate exfoliation can help improve the appearance of uneven tone and discoloration left behind after blemishes.
Helps Minimize the Appearance of Congested Pores
By exfoliating surface buildup, Mandelic Serum helps improve the appearance of roughness and clogged-looking pores.
Supports a More Even-Looking Complexion
Regular use, when tolerated, may help skin appear clearer, brighter, and more uniform.
Includes Skin-Conditioning Ingredients
Niacinamide and sodium hyaluronate complement the exfoliating acids by providing additional skin-conditioning and hydration support.
Which Strength Is Right for You?
Mandelic Serum 5%
A lower-concentration option that may be considered for clients beginning a professionally guided exfoliating routine.
Mandelic Serum 8%
An intermediate concentration for clients whose skin has demonstrated tolerance to exfoliating acids.
Mandelic Serum 11%
A stronger facial exfoliating option intended for clients who have been appropriately assessed and guided by a skincare professional.
Mandelic Serum 15%
A higher-strength option generally intended for body use. Do not apply it to the face unless the manufacturer specifically supports that use and your skincare professional has confirmed its suitability.
Important: Higher percentages do not automatically mean better results. Your skin’s condition, current routine, and tolerance determine which strength may be appropriate.

How to Use
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the application schedule recommended by Faiza.
- Cleanse your skin with a suitable cleanser.
- Allow the skin to dry before applying the serum, unless otherwise directed.
- Apply the recommended amount to the designated treatment area, avoiding the eyes, lips, and irritated or broken skin.
- Follow with a suitable moisturizer.
- Use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily and take additional sun-protection precautions.
If you’re new to exfoliating acids, introduce them gradually under professional guidance.
Do not combine this serum with other exfoliating acids, retinoids, or potentially irritating active treatments unless your skincare professional has reviewed the combination.
Discontinue use if significant irritation develops.
A Note About Sun Sensitivity
AHAs can increase your skin’s sensitivity to sunlight and the possibility of sunburn.
Use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for one week afterward.
Somatic’s Professional Skincare Recommendation
At Somatic Massage Therapy & Spa, we believe effective skincare begins with choosing products that match your skin—not simply choosing the strongest available formula.
Faiza, our Licensed Esthetician, can help you determine whether Mandelic Serum belongs in your routine, which concentration may be appropriate, and how to incorporate it without unnecessary over-exfoliation.
A consultation is especially important if you:
- Have sensitive or easily irritated skin
- Are new to chemical exfoliants
- Use prescription acne medications or retinoids
- Have a history of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
- Are currently experiencing dryness or skin barrier irritation
- Are considering the 11% or 15% strengths
