Somatic Massage Therapy & Spa is seeking a professional, dependable and client-focused New York State Licensed Esthetician to join our established wellness team in Floral Park, NY.
We are looking for an esthetician who is confident providing customized skincare services, creating an exceptional client experience and helping clients maintain healthy, glowing skin through professional recommendations and follow-up care.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide customized facial and skincare treatments based on each client’s needs
- Review client intake information and discuss skincare goals and concerns
- Perform professional facials, back treatments, waxing and other approved esthetic services
- Educate clients about appropriate home-care products and treatment plans
- Recommend suitable services, enhancements and follow-up appointments
- Maintain accurate client notes and treatment records when required
- Prepare, sanitize and reset the treatment room between appointments
- Follow all sanitation, safety and spa protocols
- Maintain dependable availability and arrive prepared for scheduled appointments
- Help create a welcoming, professional and results-focused experience for every client
Qualifications
- Active New York State esthetics license
- Current professional liability insurance
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of customized facials, sensitive skin, acne care and corrective skincare
- Experience with Face Reality, Skin Script, LED therapy, microneedling or advanced skincare services is a plus
- Evening or Saturday availability is a plus
