We Are Looking For Therapists With Experience In:
- Swedish massage
- Deep tissue massage
- Therapeutic or clinical massage
- Trigger-point therapy
- Prenatal massage
- Hot-stone massage
- Couples massage
- Assisted stretching
- Migraine and tension-headache treatments
- Neck, shoulder, and back-focused bodywork
- Lymphatic or post-operative massage when appropriately trained and insured
You do not need to specialize in every service. Qualified therapists may have opportunities to learn selected Somatic protocols and expand their service offerings.
Qualifications
- Current New York State massage therapy license
- Current professional liability insurance
- Willingness to complete a background screening, if requested, in accordance with applicable law.
- Strong hands-on massage therapy skills
- Professional communication and presentation
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- A client-centered approach to care
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a professional team
- Interest in growing with Somatic over the long term
Evening and Saturday availability is strongly preferred.
Position and Compensation
This is a 1099 independent-contractor position.
Compensation is established by Somatic Massage Therapy & Spa and is based on the specific service performed. Compensation details and applicable service rates will be discussed with qualified applicants during the interview process.
